Two people have been reportedly killed on Thursday at Tudun Gwandara in Lafia, the Nasarawa State capital, following a clash between Eggon and Gwandara youths over the impeachment proceedings against the state Governor, Alhaji Umaru Tanko Al-Makura.

It was gathered that the Gwandara youths stormed a house belonging to an Eggon man suspected to be Jonathan loyalist and set it on fire with his vehicle in the building.

On the building according to information were governorship posters of the Minister of Information, Labaran Maku.

It was gathered that the impeachment move against Al-makura did not go down well with the Kwandere youths, hence they resorted to violent attacks.

The state Police Command spokesman, Ismaila Numaan, while confirming the development said the house was burnt in the early hours of Thursday but could not confirm who was responsible.

According to him, security personnel have been drafted to restore peace in the area, warning that the police will deal with any person or group of persons caught taking the laws into their hands.
