The Ogun State House of Assembly today suspended four of its members over what it called disrespect for House rules. The members affected 
are, Adijat Oladapo-Adeleye representing Ifo 11 state Constituency, Remi Hassan a one time Deputy Speaker of the House who represents Odogbolu State Constituency, Job Akintan, Ketu constituency and John Obafemi of Remo north constituency.
It would be recalled that the Assembly last Thursday held a rowdy session over the composition of tender’s board, which was recommended by the Independent Corrupt Practices Commission, ICPC, over the purchase of 28 cars, which were alleged to have been illegally bought.
The House which has been divided into two groups with one loyal to the Governor, Senator Ibikunle Amosun and the other against him have been having difficulties in carrying out its functions. The House had gone into the day’s session to select members of the Tenders board before it degenerated into a chaotic situation. The pro-Amosun group of Legislators comprising of 15 members wants Hon. Tola Banjo as the Chairman of the board while the anti-Amosun group of 11 Legislators want Hon. Remi Hassan as the Chairman.
The leadership of the House in a bid to bring sanity into the Assembly suspended the four members who are seen to be against the smooth running of the House. The suspension led to pandemonium as some members reached for the mace breaking it in the process. The situation was brought under control when men of the Nigerian police were invited to the scene. Tear gas canisters were thrown into the premises of the Assembly to disperse the members and their supporters.
Hon Adijat Adeleye’s Offences include:
1. Causing disaffection among staffs of the House of Assembly and trying to make the Assembly ungovernable to the leadership of the house.
2. Unruly challenging the authority of Rtd Hon Speaker both verbally and in writing.
3. Refusal to give proper account of 24million Naira being funds allocated for members foreign trip
4. Constantly causing disaffection among members of the house.
5. Refusal to declare personal interest in contracts where she awarded as Chairman House Service Committee
6. Bringing the institution of the House of Assembly into disrepute by granting interviews to the MEDIA where she intentionally misrepresented facts to the public.
7. Walking out of the House Sitting unruly on the Thursday 28th Feb 2013 in outright disobedience of the authority of the leadership of the house REPEATEDLY.
8. In defiance of the order of the Speaker and the express provision of Order XXXII (8) of the standing order, she repeatedly made use of communication equipment.
9. Having participated in the debated and discussion of the Select Committee on the selection of members of tenders board committee where decision was taking, she repeatedly challenged and contested the committees decision contrary to the Parliamentary laid down principles as decided by the Supreme Court in Abraham Adesanya vs. Federal Repbulic of Nigeria.
10. She violated the provision of Order XXXIX (1) of the standing Order
Hon Remmy Hassan was accused of the following:
1. Causing disaffection among staffs of the House of Assembly
2. Unruly challenging the authority of Rtd Hon Speaker
3. Engaging in unruly behavior by physically fighting/assaulting Hon Onademuren in outright disregard to the authority of the house leadership.
4. Constantly causing disaffection among members of the house.
5. Refusal to declare personal interest in contracts where he awarded as Member of House Service Committee
6. Bringing the institution of the House of Assembly into disrepute by granting interviews where he intentionally misrepresented facts to the public.
7. Walking out of the House Sitting unruly on the Thursday 28th Feb 2013 in outright disobedience of the authority of the leadership of the house REPEATEDLY.
8. Challenging the authority of the leadership of the house by calling/inciting members not to attend meetings rightly called by the house leadership.
Hon Job Akitan is found guilty of the following:
1. Causing disaffection among staffs of the House of Assembly
2. Unruly challenging the authority of Rtd Hon Speaker
3. Using his office as a principal officer of the house to cause disaffection among the leadership of the house.
4. Constantly causing disaffection among members of the house.
5. Refusal to declare personal interest in contracts where he awarded as Member of House Service Committee
6. Bringing the institution of the House of Assembly into disrepute by granting interviews where he intentionally misrepresented facts to the public.
7. Walking out of the House Sitting unruly on the Thursday 28th Feb 2013 in outright disobedience of the authority of the leadership of the house REPEATEDLY contrary to Order XXXII (1) of the Standing Order.
8. Challenging the authority of the leadership of the house by calling/inciting members not to attend meetings rightly called by the house leadership.
9. Refusal to obey the Speaker as provided for by Order XI (d) of the Standing Order.
Hon John Obafemi’s offences are:
1. Causing disaffection among staffs of the House of Assembly and trying to make the Assembly ungovernable to the leadership of the house.
2. Unruly challenging the authority of Rtd Hon Speaker both verbally and in writing.
3.Constantly causing disaffection among members of the house.
4. Bringing the institution of the House of Assembly into disrepute by granting interviews where he intentionally misrepresented facts to the public.
5. Walking out of the House Sitting unruly on the Thursday 28th Feb 2013 in outright disobedience of the authority of the leadership of the house REPEATEDLY.

7.
