OGUN PDP’S WILD GOOSE CHASE AND THEIR 2027 GUBERNATORIAL FANTASY

Ogun State has a history of sophistication across many positive indices. It is a state with an incontrovertible record of pioneers in various fields of human endeavour, and we are proud of this. This sophistication reflects in every electoral cycle when the window for change or retention of political leadership beckons, as it does now.
However, in the history of our dear state, we have never witnessed what we are currently experiencing at the hands of the faded Peoples Democratic Party, its gubernatorial candidate, and the gang of mercenaries unleashed on our airwaves.
With every sense of responsibility, I make bold to say that while every individual has the democratic right to harbour political ambition, it is the height of insensitivity, an abuse of right, and a collective insult to our sensibilities for someone from the same Iperu town to audaciously seek to succeed another Iperu indigene who is almost completing eight years of two constitutionally allowed terms as Governor of Ogun State. I doubt if this ambition ever considered equity, fairness and justice, but the public outcry against this insensitivity is loud enough for any discerning mind.
The next block built on this feeble ambition is the tactless wild goose chase over everything called Senator Solomon Olamilekan Adeola, popularly known as YAYI. They have assembled all manner of discredited elements to malign, abuse and spew unproven allegations against Senator YAYI in a most indecorous manner, as if members of Ogun State electorate are like them! No. We have highly educated, well-informed, wise and discerning minds in the Gateway State who see through the macabre dance of PDP goons.
As a matter of fact, “YAYI is this, YAYI is that” has become almost the entire manifesto of the Ogun PDP, its candidate and their horde of mercenaries. However, their rejection by the discerning public and would-be voters in the last few days is a clear pointer to the catastrophic defeat awaiting them in the 2027 elections.
