PRESIDENT BOLA TINUBU HAS TURNED THE CORNER: THE RENEWED HOPE AGENDA IS UNSTOPPABLE

1.The Turning Point
President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has turned the corner. After over 3 years of bold, sometimes painful reforms, Nigeria is no longer asking “if” but “how fast” we can consolidate the gains. The momentum of his Renewed Hope Agenda is unstoppable. As the President himself declared: “The toughest decisions are behind us. Now is the time to build.” The early turbulence has given way to visible macroeconomic stability, rising investor confidence, and a government that now works with clear direction.
2.From Policy to Results
What distinguishes this administration is the deliberate movement from policy formulation to execution. The President understood that announcements without implementation are mere rhetoric. Today, fiscal discipline, KPI-driven MDAs, and law-backed reforms are producing results. IGR is up, leakages are down, and governance is becoming predictable. The Renewed Hope Agenda is not a slogan. It is being coded into law, funded in the budget, and delivered on the ground.
3.The Economy: Green Shoots Everywhere
The economy has turned the corner. Inflation is easing, the Naira has found relative stability, and foreign direct investment is returning. The $1.5B World Bank budget support, the $2.25B Afreximbank facility, and renewed oil and gas investments are direct votes of confidence. More importantly, Nigerians are beginning to feel it – in student loans, in CNG buses, in the Lagos-Calabar Coastal Highway, and in the push to make food affordable. We have moved from crisis management to nation building.
4.Security and Infrastructure: Laying the Foundation
On security, the Tinubu administration has refused to be intimidated. With better funding, intelligence, and political will, the Armed Forces are reclaiming territory and restoring confidence. On infrastructure, the Sokoto-Badagry Superhighway, thousands of kilometers of rural roads, and energy projects are the physical proof that this government builds. These are not projects for today. They are the arteries of prosperity for the next 50 years.
5.The Politics of Courage and Compassion
Great leaders are defined by the hard decisions they take. President Tinubu took them on Day One. Removing the fuel subsidy and unifying the exchange rate were politically costly but economically necessary. Yet, courage was balanced with compassion. This is where the collaboration of Her Excellency, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, CON, the First Lady of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, has been profound. Through the Renewed Hope Initiative, she has taken palliatives, education support, and women’s empowerment directly to the grassroots — ensuring that no Nigerian is left behind as we reform.
6.A Model for Subnationals
The Renewed Hope Agenda is already being domesticated in states across the federation. The Ogun State Model of “From Policy Formulation to Law Making” reflects the same DNA: clear vision, legislative backing, and KPI-driven delivery. When the center is stable and purposeful, the states follow. That alignment between federal policy and state execution is what will make Nigeria work. As President Tinubu noted: “We must build a country where prosperity is not an accident, but a design.”
7.Foreign Policy and Global Respect
Nigeria’s voice is back on the global stage. From ECOWAS to the G20, President Tinubu is reasserting Nigeria’s leadership. Investors are no longer asking about risk. They are asking about opportunities. That diplomatic capital, earned through consistency and credibility, is now translating into jobs, technology transfer, and partnerships for our youth and digital economy.
8.An Admonition to Nigerians.
The foundation has been laid. The direction is set. But great projects require continuity. I therefore admonish all Nigerians – from the market woman in Aba to the tech bro in Yaba, from our traditional rulers to our students — to spur this government on with your support and, come 2027, with your votes. If we allow this great agenda to flourish for 8 years, Nigeria will be unrecognizable for good. Therefore, let us consolidate on what God has started with our country.
9.The Road Ahead is Irreversible.
Mr. President, the Nigerian people see the sacrifice and they see the progress. The corner has been turned and there is no going back. The momentum of the Renewed Hope Agenda is unstoppable because it is anchored on law, on data, and on delivery. The task now is to deepen the reforms, protect the vulnerable, and communicate the wins. The destination is clear: a $1 trillion economy, jobs for our youth, and a Nigeria that works for all.
