Nigerian Air Force helicopter crashes

A Nigerian Air Force Mi-35 helicopter on a training mission has crashed.

The chopper crashed due to a technical fault at a location South of Bama, Borno State on Monday afternoon.

A statement by the Director of Defence Information, Major General Chris Olukolade, said investigation has commenced to unravel the circumstances that led to the accident.

Olukolade, however, said it was established that the crash is not as a result of any enemy action.

According to him details on the crash will be made known as soon as investigation progresses.
