N1.7m Theft: Two Sales Reps Docked in Ondo
Two sales representatives have been dragged before an Ondo Chief Magistrate court over N1.7m theft. Odutayo Abayomi and Ogunseye Eric are to face trial over alleged theft of the sum of N1,721,834 from the sales proceeds of an Ondo based trading company, Modvikky / Vicmond Nigeria Limited.
The offence was allegedly committed on April 2nd, 2012 while the accused were serving the company in official capacity as sales representatives. The offence is said to contravene sections 516 and 390 (9) of the criminal code cap 30 Vol. II Laws of Ondo State of Nigeria, 2006. The accused pleaded not guilty as charged. However police prosecutor, Adelakun Lawal expressed readiness to invite witnesses and continue with the case. The Chief Magistrate, Mr. O.S Olajubu granted bail to the accused and adjourned the matter till 22nd June, 2012.
