Eid-el-maulud: ADC Governorship Candidate, Bot, Felicitates With Muslims

Sharing is caring!

Muslims should draw from the virtues of Holy Prophet Muhammad’s life in reverence to his birthday.

This counsel came from the Ogun State Governorship candidate of African Democratic Congress (ADC) in the 2023 election, Barrister Biyi Otegbeye, fondly called BOT by his admirers.

In a press release issued to mark this year’s Eid-el-Maulud celebration, Otegbeye stated that the occasion provides an avenue to extend kindness to not only fellow Muslims and believers of other religions faiths, but demonstrate the values of love, tolerance and understanding between one another.

“I am glad that we are able to witness this year’s celebration. I congratulate all Muslims in Ogun State”, Otegbeye said, adding “This birthday celebration should be a solemn occasion to remember Holy Prophet Muhammad and reflect on his ideals, as well as follow the instructions in the Holy Quran. Muslims should be their brothers’ keepers and engage in behaviours that glorify Allah and enhance peace and tranquility in the society”.

The ADC flagbearer urged Ogun State indigenes to shun violence and other acts that could result in blood letting in the campaign towards the 2023 general elections in the country. He eulogised: “We in Ogun State, the politicians and their followers, as well as the generality of our people must be watchful, prayerful and guide against acts of hooliganism and violence in the coming elections.’
