Update: Police Confirms 25 Dead in Kaduna Explosion

Kaduna state Police Commissioner, Alhaji Umar Shehu , has confirmed that 25 people died following the bomb explosion that occurred along Alkali Road.

Sources around the area said that about 35 people lost their lives in the bomb attack.

The explosion reportedly occurred around the Murtala Mohammed Square at about 12:30pm.

An Islamic sect, led by Sheik Usman Bauchi, was reported to be winding up his annual Ramadan tafsir when the explosion occurred.
