Saraki, 10 other Senators Dump PDP for APC
Eleven Senators elected on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, have written a letter to the Senate President, David Mark of their intention to defect to the All Progressives Congress, APC.
Senators Bukola Saraki, Kwara Central; Mohammed Ndume, Borno South and Danjuma Goje, Gombe Central as well as Abdullahi Adamu, Nasarawa West are some of the defectors. Others are Senators Umaru Dahiru, Sokoto south ; Magnus Abe, Rivers West; Wilson Ake, Rivers west; Bindawa Jubrila, Adamawa North ; Aisha Al Hassan, Taraba North; Mohammed Shaba Lafiaji, Kwara north and Ibrahim Gobir, Sokoto East.
Reports have it that the Nation will still witness more defectors as days come by. Few weeks ago, 37 members of the House of Representatives who were elected on the platform of PDP dumped the party for the APC. The most celebrated defection was that of the five Governors who also left PDP for APC. Governors Rotimi Amaechi, Rivers; Musa Kwankwanso, Kano; Murtala Nyako, Adamawa ; Aliyu Wammako, Sokoto and Abdufattah Ahmed, Kwara in a dramatic way dumped the party that brought them to the office.
