Real Madrid have announced the sales of approximately £20million worth of ‘James’ replica shirts since Colombian, James Rodriguez was unveiled at the Bernabeu on Tuesday.

If sales climb up or continue the way to be as impressive as they are, Real Madrid will recoup the reported £71million paid to Monaco for the signature of the forward in no distance time.

Spanish newspapers report that Real Madrid have so far sold approximately 345,000 ‘James’ replica shirts in the 48 hours since the forward was unveiled at the Bernebeu in front of 44,000 fans.

The expectation is that James Rodriguez’s shirts will sell at the same level as Cristiano Ronaldo’s, which has sold over one million shirts since arriving at Real Madrid.

Former players, Figo, Zinedine Zidane, Ronaldo and David Beckham never pushed the sales of as much products when they joined the club.
