Police: One Body Pulled from Water After Debris from Small Plane Found Off Breezy Point

  The NYPD says a body has been pulled from the water after the department recovered debris that they believe are from a small passenger plane off the coast of Breezy Point Wednesday evening.

Police say they received several 911 calls of a possible plane down off Breezy Point just before 8 p.m.

The NYPD says they believe the debris belongs to a small passenger plane.

Police say they have recovered one body so far in connection with the incident.

The NYPD’s special operations unit posted images from the scene on its Twitter account.

The FAA says it received a report from the NYPD that parts of a Flight Design CLTS, which is a small aviation aircraft that can seat two passengers, were found, but the FAA says it has no reports of missing aircrafts in that area.

The NYPD’s emergency services unit continues to search the area.
