Lagos State government declares 3,000 intending Pilgrims Ebola free

The commencement of airlifting of over 3,000 intending pilgrims from Lagos state to Saudi-Arabia for the 2014 Hajj exercise has begun.

None of these religious persons are Ebola victims because everyone going to the Holy land passed the Ebola Virus Disease, EVD, test.

Chairman of the Lagos State Muslims Board, Dr. Abdulkabir Paramole said;

“The intending pilgrims were thoroughly, screened for the Ebola Virus Disease, but thank be to Allah, they all came out clean. They left aboard Max Airline.

“while the third batch from Epe, Eti-Osa and Ifako-Ijaiye will be leaving the shores of Nigeria late Sunday.

“The first two flights headed for Medina. The pilgrims are expected back in the country by the October 15th, 2014, while a total of six flights have been scheduled to take the pilgrims to and fro.” Paramole stated.
