Governor Dapo Abiodun is After my life- Ex Aide
A gubernatorial aspirant in the 2023 elections on the platform of the All Progressive Congress (APC) in Ogun State, Mrs. Modele Sarafa-Yusuf has said her life is being threatened by the Governor of the State, Prince Dapo Abiodun.
In a tweet while reacting to Mr. Ola Muritala, a Special Assistant to Abiodun, Sarafa-Yusuf wrote that the Governor had threatened her to back out of the race for her safety.
Sarafa-Yusuf, an accomplished journalist and media executive, had resigned unceremoniously as Special Adviser to Abiodun two years ago. She had tweeted about how her billboards were being removed on the order of the Governor. Muritala while defending his boss tweeted that Abiodun was a peace loving person.
” Please stop this politics of blackmail, lies and deceit. You cannot continue to mislead the general public about a peace loving Governor. Dapo Abiodun is not the type that plays bitter politics which you also know. May God forgive you madam”, Muritala tweeted.
In her reaction, Sarafa-Yusuf wrote: ” You mean a Governor who told a 1st-class traditional ruler to tell me to back off otherwise he “cannot guarantee my security “. You obviously don’t know the person you are being paid to defend”
The embattled Governor who has been fighting the political battle of his life is said to have been arrested, prosecuted and jailed in the US in 1986 over credit card fraud.
