Free for All Fight At Inauguration of Yewa South LG Caretaker Committee

Inauguration of Caretaker Committee for Yewa South Local Government Council in Ogun State was on Thursday disrupted by political thugs led by a senator.
NigerianEcho learnt, some miscreants loyal to Senator Iyabo Anisulowo, a chieftain of Alliance for Progressives Party, APC invaded the local government secretariat and chased away people who had gathered for the official inauguration of the local government caretaker committee members.
It was learnt that, the occasion had started well until when name of appointed Vice-Chairman and other members of the committee were called and Senator Iyabo Anisulowo stood up and disagreed with the name mentioned for the post of Vice-Chairman.
NigerianEcho gathered that, the name of Princess Adeyinka Ajibade from Ilobi-Erinja ward was mentioned as agreed by the party for political balance equation.
But, according to a leader of the party in the LG who was present at the event, the self-acclaimed iron lady, Senator Iyabo Anisulowo wanted one Latifat Bola Ajayi as the Vice-Chairman contrary to party agreement.
NigerianEcho learnt, party had picked the Chairman of the committee from Ilaro ward 3 in Ilaro zone and for equity, justice and usual practice in the local government having two zones, Vice must come from other zone, which is Ifekowajo, where the party had picked Princess Ajibade from Ilobi-Erinja ward.
The Senator, sources said hurriedly left the hall to meet with a brother of hers outside the secretariat, who inturn called for some miscreants.
The thugs, it was learnt invaded the secretariat with all sort of dangerous weapons and shooting indiscriminately. The police was invited to the scene but could not curtail the crisis until the operation MESSA of the soldiers arrived at the scene.
Those who sustained injuries during the fracas include; a police Assistant Suprintendent, ASP. Isiaka Owuye, another police corpral, Faleti Emmanuel, Akinyele Kasali a.k.a Baba tailor and one Abiodun.
Among chieftains of the party at the ocassion are: immediate past Chairman of the LG, Alh. Sefiu Odebiyi, a renowned accountant, Kola Lawal, Engr. Segun kehinde, Rasheed Odugbemi among others.
