Four people have been killed as a result of a powerful explosion, which occurred in Port Harcourt through a gas leakage.
According to reports, a gas cylinder used for welding exploded around 5 pm on Thursday in a workshop situated near the ABC Bus park at the crossing of Eliozu road and the East-West road.
Rivers police spokesman, Muhammad Kidaya Ahmad, confirmed the incident.
The explosion, which caused serious commotion killed two people on the spot, with their legs severed in the blast.
Another person, who was injured in the explosion died on the way to the nearest hospital.
The fourth victim, according to an eye-witness died as a result of inhuman attitude of hospital personnel who demanded for N35,000 before treatment.
