Bizarre!!! Few weeks to 2013, President Jonathan submit 161billion supplementary budget to fund 2012
Barely three weeks to the end of year 2012, President Goodluck Jonathan has submitted a supplementary budget of N161.6 billion to the National Assembly.
In a letter addressed to both the Senate and the House of Representative, the President is seeking the approval of both
chambers for the money which the President said is to be used for settlement of accumulated fuel subsidy arrears.
While urging the speedy approval of the funds to forestall supply glitches during the coming festive period, the President said this is necessary because a forensic audit of subsidy claims showed an initial provision of N888.I billion for the settlement (for 2012), was underestimated.
