Barely three weeks to the end of year 2012, President Goodluck Jonathan has submitted a supplementary budget of N161.6 billion to the National Assembly.

chambers for the money which the President said is to be used for settlement of accumulated fuel subsidy arrears.

While urging the speedy approval of the funds to forestall supply glitches during the coming festive period, the President said this is necessary because a forensic audit of subsidy claims showed an initial provision of N888.I billion for the settlement (for 2012), was underestimated.
