Sharing is caring!

Ibikunle Amosun, the current Senator representing Ogun Central District in the National Assembly, has declared that he would be supporting Barr. Biyi Otegbeye, the governorship candidate of African Democratic Congress (ADC) in the 2023 poll.

Amosun disclosed this during a BBC Yoruba interview programme monitored by NigerianEcho which was aired on Monday, October 10, 2022. The former Governor of the State however made it known that he would be supporting the Presidential candidate of All Progressives Congress (APC), Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

When asked about his preferred candidate, he said Tinubu’s case is clear and that he was going to do everything humanly possible to ensure the APC’s Presidential candidate gets elected. He however said he would not support the re-election of the incumbent Governor, Dapo Abiodun.

“That one is settled, we are working for Asiwaju to win by the grace of God. I don’t hide behind one finger to fight. Biyi Otegbeye is the person I am supporting and ADC is the party.

“For the presidential poll, I can assure you, both right, left and centre, we are supporting one person (Tinubu)”, Amosun noted.

Amosun vowed that Governor Dapo Abiodun “must be removed from office” in 2023 because he was “rigged” into the office ab initio.

Amosun stated that the 2019 governorship election in the state was rigged to favour the incumbent governor.

He added that he had moved on because those who were behind the rigging have apologized to him.
