Mexico Releases list of Full Squad to Play against Nigeria
The Mexican Football team has released a full list of 24 players invited to play in their friendly against Nigeria on March 5 in Atlanta, Georgia.
El Tri coach, Miguel Herrera had earlier released a list of eight players based in Europe with Manchester United’s Javier Hernandez a.k.a Chicharito and Villareal’s Giovani Dos Santos being among them. The coach has added 16 players from the Mexican league with Leon and Club America producing four players each and Toluca two.
The match will take place at the Georgia Dome in Atlanta, Georgia in the United States as part of preparation for the 2014 World Cup. The last game between both sides ended 2-2 in 2013.
While Nigeria are drawn in World Cup Group F alongside Argentina, Iran and Bosnia-Herzegovina, Mexico will play against hosts Brazil, Cameroon and Croatia in Group A.
