The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) in Osun State has commenced the Second Phase of the Continuous Voters Registration (CVR) Exercise on Monday, 5th January, 2026 across the state.

This phase of the CVR is intended to provide an opportunity for eligible Nigerians who did not register during the first phase to do so. It is also open to citizens who have attained the age of 18, as well as registered voters who wish to apply for transfer of their PVCs, correction of personal details, or replacement of lost or damaged Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs).

In a statement signed by Musa Olurode, the Public Affairs Officer, the INEC urged all eligible voters in Osun State to take advantage of this exercise, as registration is a constitutional requirement for participation in elections.

“The Commission in Osun State under the leadership of the Resident Electoral Commissioner, Dr. Mutiu Agboke remains committed to conducting a transparent, credible, inclusive, and acceptable electoral process, in strict compliance with the Electoral Act and the Commission’s guidelines.

“This renewed commitment forms part of INEC’s ongoing preparations towards the successful conduct of the 2026 Osun State Governorship Election. Members of the public are advised to obtain further details from INEC offices across the state and the Commission’s official platforms”, Olurode noted.
