62nd Independence Anniversary: There Is Hope Around The Corner, Otegbeye (Bot) Assures Ogun State Citizens
The African Democratic Congress (ADC) will rescue Ogun State from the misgovernance of the current administration if voted into power in 2023.
The party’s flagbearer in the election, Barrister Biyi Otegbeye (BOT) said this in a statement issued by his media office to mark the country’s 62nd independence anniversary.
The candidate, who is also the founder of Building Opportunities For Tomorrow (BOT), an NGO known for philanthropic activities across the state, stressed: “There is hope around the corner. The ADC will redefine governance and bring dividends of democracy to the people. Our government will have human face; we will take care of the welfare of the citizens across the social strata in our programme”.
He stated that the ADC will soon unveil a rescue agenda that will revitalize the various sectors of the state’s economy, create a durable security arhitecture and an enabling environment for businesses to thrive, promote peaceful coexistence among the religious groups and lift the state to a new height which will be emulated by other states in the federation.
Otegbeye also enjoined the citizens to be patriotic.
He emphasized: “Nigeria might not have delivered to us the desires of our hearts, nonetheless we must be patriotic and be hopeful about the future of our nation. Our past may be chequered, we must march to the promised land and be prayerful all the way”.
He charged the country’s leadership to exhibit exemplary conduct that will boost the country’s image in the international community.
According to him, demonstration of good character, and fulfilment of promises by the leadership will encourage the citizens to be committed to the growth and progress of the nation, adding that both the leaders and followers have inextricable roles to play to move the nation forward.
He then prayed that Nigeria shall grow to become a country flowing with milk and honey, and where the citizens will dwell in peace and prosperity with one another.
