2015 DStv Men’s Premier Basketball League: Mark Mentors beat Bauchi Nets 92-49

Hosts Mark Mentors Basketball Club on Friday in Abuja defeated visiting Bauchi Nets Basketball Club 92-49 in the ongoing DStv Men’s Premier Basketball League.‎

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that Mark Mentors took control of the match from the onset and won the first quarter 23-9.

They went on to hold on to their lead and go into the game’s break 47-22, while the third quarter saw them leading 70-45 and the fourth quarter 92-49.

At the end of the match, Peter Ahmedu, coach of Mark Mentors, said he was not impressed with the outcome of the game.

“It was a very good game, and I was expecting my boys to play a better game. They will now work hard to come out victorious at the end of the league,” he said.

On his part, James Okakwu, the assistant coach of Bauchi Nets, said his players did not live up to expectations.

“It was a serious game, but unfortunately we lost. My players did not perform to expectations, and we missed a lot of shots and throws.

“We are now going to work on our mistakes. In our next match, our performance will be better,” he said.
