YEWA FESTIVAL EDUCATION COMMITTEE ORGANISES ESSAY WRITING, DEBATE AND QUIZ COMPETITIONS

As part of activities marking the maiden edition of Yewa Festival 2014 which will kick off with world press conference on 9th of April, the Education committee of the epoch making event has announced is organising Essay writing, Debate and Quiz competitions.
The competitions according to the Chairman of the committee, Ajiroba Dapo Oke is open to all Senior Secondary school and Students of Tertiary Educational Institutions who are Yewa indigenes in two categories.
Category A: Senior Secondary School category
Theme- The Expectations of Nigerian youths from the National Conference
Category B : Tertiary Educational Institutions Category
Theme : Yewa Nation : The match to Socio-economic greatness
QUIZ COMPETITION : Among Secondary School Students in Yewa land and Oke Ogun area of Ogun State.
Interested contestants, Ajiroba Oke said, should forward their email address to the Secretary of the committee Mr. Akinleye Olubori of Ministry of Education, Science and Technology, Oke-Mosan, Abeokuta (08023245834) to download entry application form.
The Essay writing competition will be held on Saturday 12th April 2014 at the following venues
Imeko Afon – Nazareth High School , Imeko
Ado-Odo /Otta – Alamuwa Grammar School, Ado-odo
Ipokia – Iko Gateway High School, Idiroko
Yewa North- Comprehensive High School, Ayetoro.
Yewa South- Yewa (Egbado College) Ilaro.
Okeogun – AUD Grammar School, Isaga orile
The best 10 best writers from each category will be invited to the grand finale holding on Thursday 17th April at ASUP Hall, Federal Polytechnic , Ilaro for oral presentation and final assessment.
Interested Quiz competitors should indicate their areas of specialization in the entry form.
