Wike Sacks Accountant-General

Governor Nyesom Wike of Rivers state on Monday sacked the state Accountant-General, Ngozi Y. Abu.
The sack was announced in a statement signed by the Special Assistant to the Governor on Media, Simeon Nwakaudu.
According to the statement, the Director of Treasury, Sir Dagogo R.Abere has been appointed as acting Accountant General with immediate effect.
The sacking of the Accountant-General who was appointed by the immediate past Governor of the State, Chibuike Rotimi. Amaechi, a source in the State informed might not be unconnected to the commencement of Amaechi’s administration probe by Wike.
