WHO donates Healthcare Materials to Taraba state
The World Health Organisation, on Saturday, donated 561 megaphones to the Taraba Primary Health Care Development
Agency as part of efforts to enhance its immunisation social mobilisation capacity.
The South-West Coordinator of WHO, Dr Wale Famiyesin, made the donation in Jalingo, saying the WHO’s mission is to ensure eradication of communicable and preventable diseases in Nigeria and across the world.
He also commended the Taraba state Government for establishing the State Primary Health Care Development Agency and trying to ensure provision of qualitative health care to the people.
The Executive Secretary of the Agency, Aminu Hassan, thanked the WHO for its support and its role in providing quality health care to millions of people across the world.
