1. RESCUE OF VICTIM/ARREST OF KIDNAPPER (ANAMBRA STATE): On 14.07.2014 at about 7:30AM, upon information, Police operatives from Abagana Division raided a kidnapper hideout at Enugu-Ukwu where one male victim earlier reported kidnapped at Onitsha on 13.07.2014 by three gunmen was safely rescued. One of the kidnap suspects was arrested at the scene while efforts to apprehend other gang members are being intensified, State CID #Awka is investigating.
2. RESCUE OF VICTIMS/ARREST OF KIDNAPPER (EBONYI STATE): On 14.07.2014 , Police operatives tracked down a kidnap suspect to his hideout at Ugoeze village, Effium where two sisters (names withheld) ages 9yrs and 7yrs were safely rescued. Victims were earlier kidnapped from Ijebu-Ode, Ogun state on 08.07.2014 by one Kingson Asiegbu ‘m’ aged 27yrs who brought them to Ebony state. Police arrested the said Kingson Asiegbu at the scene; suspect had also called the parents to demand for ransom. Children have been reunited with their parents and arrested suspect handed over to #Ogun state Police Command for further investigating.
3. ARREST OF KIDNAP SUSPECTS/RECOVERY OF WEAPON (ANAMBRA STATE): On 19.07.2014 at about 6:25AM, an arrested notorious male Kidnap suspect connected to a kidnap case that occurred in Nnewi, lead Police SARS operatives to effect arrest of other gang members at Umuahia and Aba in Abia state. Three additional cohorts were successfully apprehended. Suspects led Police to their hideout in Benin City, Edo state where the following items were recovered; one (1) Rocket launcher, one (1) rocket, fifty (50) magazines of AK-47 rifle, three hundred (300) rounds of 7.62mm ammunition. State CID Awka is investigation.

ARREST OF ARMED ROBBERY SUSPECTS/RECOVERY OF VEHICLE (EDO STATE): On 15.07.2014 at about 10:00AM, Police operatives intercepted one Ifeanyi Egbuna ‘m’, 25yrs with a Hyundai car (reg. no. withheld) which was earlier snatched from the owner on 14.07.2014 at about 8:15PM by three armed men behind Benson Idahosa University Benin City. Seven (7) other members of the robbery gang were traced to No. 31 Aire Street Benin City where they were arrested. They are; Vivian Imade ‘f’, Osas Idemudia ‘m’, Elvis Owie ‘m’, Julius Dosu ‘m’, Aghosa Imade ‘m’, Dele Ojeaga ‘m’, and Imade Fred ‘m’ while two other gang members known as Don/Chairman and Kamarat are now at large. State CID #Benin is investigating.
5. ARREST OF ARMED ROBBERY SUSPECTS/RECOVERY OF WEAPON (RIVERS STATE): On 15.07.2014 at about 11:45PM, upon a report of robbery by a commercial cyclist that at about 10:15PM he picked a male passenger from Nchia market to Festive Fast Food Bus Stop, Eleme where two other men joined the passenger to dispossess him of his motorcycle. The message was immediately disseminated to all other Police units. Two of the suspects were intercepted with the motorcycle by one of the Police patrol teams and one locally-made pistol was recovered from the suspects. Efforts to apprehend the third gang members is being intensified, State CID Port-Harcourt is investigating.
6. ARREST OF ARMED ROBBERY SUSPECTS/RECOVERY OF WEAPON (BENUE STATE): On 16.07.2014 at about 3:15AM, upon information, Police SARS Operatives raided a house used as a hideout by criminal at North-Bank area by the old Bridge Makurdi. Two male suspects were arrested and one (1) locally-made pistol with three (3) cartridges, one (1) sharp axe, three (3) new wrist-watches and two (2) mobile phones were recovered from the suspects. State CID #Makurdi is investigating.
7. ARREST OF ARMED ROBBERY SUSPECTS/RECOVERY OF WEAPON/VEHICLE (KADUNA STATE): On 18.07.2014 at about 4:00PM, on a tip-off, Police Anti-Car Theft Unit tracked down and arrested three (3) armed robbery suspects namely; Abdulazeez Musa ‘m’, Umar Faruq ‘m’ and Abdullahi Musa ‘m’, along Kaduna/Abuja Road. Following items were recovered from the suspects at the scene; one (1) locally-made double barrel gun, two (2) Berretta pistols, two locally-made Revolver pistols, various caliber of ammunition and one unregistered Toyota Avalon Car from the suspects. State CID Kaduna is investigating.
8. FOILED ROBBERY (KADUNA STATE): On 19.07.2014 at about 8:30PM, Police received distress call that armed suspects blocked a part of Abuja-Kaduna Expressway at a point between Kateri and Polwire. Police Federal Highway Patrol team was dispatched to the scene, the hoodlums fled on sighting the Police. Two Policemen sustained gunshot injuries from firing received as the hoodlums where being chased inside the bush. The blockage was removed and road made safe again for travelers. Injured officers were rushed to hospital where they are responding to treatment. Efforts to apprehend the fleeing hoodlums are being intensified, State CID Kaduna is investigating.
