American rapper, Wale, who was billed to perform at Panshak Zamani, aka Ice Prince’s ‘Fire of Zamani’ album launch concert has said that he will not be able to attend.
Wale said he will have to miss the show as his tickets were not purchased by the promoter who should have done that.
He disclosed this in a several tweets via the verified Twitter handle of his record label, Maybach Music Group (@MaybachMusicGrp), saying:
“Wale has a statement regarding his Nigeria trip. Here it is….
“To my Nigerian people. It saddens me to share this news but I am not able to make it to the show in Lagos on 23 Nov because the promoter..
“..did not handle logistics. I was at the airport in NYC trying to get on the flight but my tickets were not paid for so even if I wanted…
“..to do a free show, it would not be possible for me to get there. This is not the fault of @iceprincezamani or @choccitymusic but I will…
“….be in Nigeria soon.- Wale”
The ‘Bad’ Rapper was one of the artistes booked to frontline the event alongside UK act Chip (who is already in Nigeria), Ice Price, MI, Olamide, Burna Boy and a host of others.
The artiste has always shown interest in coming back to his fatherland to perform and his excitement at being at Zamani’s Show was never hidden as he made it known via his twitter account.
