VP Sambo Submits President Jonathan’s PDP Nominations Form Ahead of Primaries
The Vice President of Nigeria, Namadi Sambo has submitted the Peoples Democratic Party’s presidential nomination and expression of interest forms on behalf of President Goodluck Jonathan on Friday.
Although the party’s primary elections are scheduled for December 10 and 11, the National Chairman of the party, Alhaji Adamu Mu’azu, said that President Jonathan will still be adopted as the sole candidate of the party for the presidential race.
Sambo, while submitting the forms, said he was happy about the transformation the country has undergone since Jonathan’s administration resumed office.
He said, “Our President has moved the country forward by transforming it economically. It is therefore with great humility that I’m presenting to you these forms. You will help us present it to the members of the National Working Committee.”
The National Organising Secretary, Alhaji Abubakar Mustapha, whi received the forms from Mu’azu said he was happy to be part of history by collecting the forms, and prayed to God to grant the party and the candidate success during the election.
