The Oyo State Head of Service, Mr. Soji Eniade has called on all civil and public servants in the state to vote according to their conscience during the April 11 state Governorship and House of Assembly elections.

His call came against the backdrop of the alleged moves by some civil and public servants to hoodwink their colleagues into voting for candidates of certain political parties during the election.

Eniade, in a statement issued in Ibadan on Tuesday, said that civil and public servants, by their calling, are not expected to be partisan.

He urged them to be wary of recalcitrant elements whom he said had turned themselves into politicians within the service.

He said that civil and public servants should rather look at the antecedents of each of the candidates and vote for the ones that would not trample on their rights nor take their welfare for granted.

The Head of Service said they should consider the candidates that would ensure job security, continue to provide them with good working environment, regular trainings and an atmosphere that would aid the attainment of their potentials.
