Varane Extends Madrid Stay till 2020
Raphael Varane has agreed a new six-year deal with Real Madrid.
The French defender who was linked with Chelsea during the last transfer window, still had three years left on his contract but has signed a new contract that will keep him at the Santiago Bernabeu until 2020.
The European champions announce the news on their official website, saying: “Real Madrid announce the extension of the contract between the player Raphael Varane and the club until June 30, 2020.”
The 21-year-old moved to Madrid from Lille in 2011 but his stay, especially last season, was troubled by injuries .
