Valueless, Arrogant President Aides To Go!

President Goodluck Jonathan may sack more of his aides who are considered to be arrogant and not adding value to his second term.
This revelation came to light when President Jonathan and the National Chairman of the ruling Peoples Democratic Party,(PDP), Alhaji Adamu Mu’azu, met and agreed that any aides found to be arrogant or becoming liability should be relieved of their duties.
The party Chairman, who made this known in Abuja yesterday, warned that the party would no longer tolerate any member of the party considered to be arrogant.
Mu’azu made this warning while receiving the communique from the Akwa Ibom State chapter of the PDP on their stakeholders’ meeting which was held on April 22.
In the communique, the people lambasted Gulak for coming to Akwa Ibom State to inaugurate a sectional and an unknown support group in favour of President Jonathan without the knowledge of the state’s party leadership.
President Jonathan in the communique was advised to caution his aides who were bent on causing disaffection in various states of the federation. It specifically warned “Alhaji Gulak to desist from further interference in the affairs of the state as we do not need the assistance of any outsider to campaign here for Mr. President.”
The communique was the last straw that broke the back of Gulak camel as he was sacked on Monday.
Speaking on the communique, PDP Chairman noted that he had told President Jonathan that the party would no longer afford to allow members who he said would cause disaffection among members of the party, to remain in their offices.
“I have told the President, whoever does not remain focused, cool his nerves, humble himself cannot belong to this party.
“The President and I have resolved that. Whoever does not reduce his arrogance, remain focused cannot work with us. Those who want to abuse me should do so. One day it will be over.
“I am ready to stoop to conquer. That is the spirit I want to put in us, to remain focused and calm. I don’t want anybody to imagine Nigeria without PDP.”
He said all what he wanted for now was for the party to win the 2015 presidential election and also retain more states.
While saying that the many problems facing the party was as a result of its size, Mu’azu added that the party would not give automatic ticket to any of its aspirants but it will respect the zoning principle of any State Chapter as it is the constitution of the party in reference to the federal character law.
