US Drone strike kills Taliban Chief in Pakistan
A US drone strike in Pakistan has killed Hakimullah Mehsud, the head of the Pakistani Taliban, in North Waziristan, Pakistani sources said. “We can confirm Hakimullah Mehsud was killed in the drone strike,” said the source on Friday.
Pakistan’s Taliban has not confirmed Mehsud’s killing so far. He has been reported dead several times before.
As leader of the Pakistani Taliban, Mehsud is the most wanted man in Pakistan and the US has a $5m bounty on his head.
