UPDATE: Boko Haram attacks Bama in Borno
Boko Haram militants early this morning, launched an attack on Bama, one of the few major towns in Borno State.
Information has it that the insurgents stormed the town in their hundreds, but were repelled by the military who fought them fire for fire.
A source said the soldiers were successful in driving the insurgents back to their base.
A source informed not less than 20 persons were killed during the attack.
A report also said, there is a massive exodus of residents from the town, which is about 64km from Maiduguri, the Borno State capital as residents fear the insurgents might return.
