Upcoming Rap Artiste Drags Terry G to Court
Nigeria’s top musician, Terry G has been accused of intellectual property theft by an upcoming Rap Artiste, Larry Lance and the latter has threatened to take the Akpako crooner to court. Speaking with Nigerianecho, Lance’s Counsel, Hakeem Babatunde of 
Olayomi Showemimo & Co said a letter has been sent to Terry G intimating him of his client’s desire to enforce his right.
Larry Lance had featured Terry G in his wave making singles, “Igboro and Oba gbogbo won”, but the latter has not allowed the former to benefit from the proceeds of his labour. TGP entertainment, owned by Terry G which produced and released the songs has not only refused to acknowledge Lance as the writer and owner of the songs, but has also severed communication with the hapless artiste.
Babatunde said, ” Larry Lance has been labelled as a scam by other music recording studios for not being able to defend what Terry G said. Terry G had lied signing Lance, an assertion that is false. He is just using his upper hand in the industry to suppress the young man”
” Terry G never signed my client and his action has been a demoralizing factor to my client. We are forced to seek legal redress in court and we shall expose Terry G as a fraud that he is”, Babatunde concluded.
Lance’s Hit singles, Igboro and Oba gbogbo won have been making waves and have become top choices for DJs in Clubs and bars.
