UEFA Champion’s League Match Results

Tuesday, October 1 marked the continuation of the UEFA Champion’s League from 2 weeks ago, with play-offs among teams in Groups E to H.

In Group E,FC Basel retains 2nd place position after losing 0-1 to FC Schalke 04 who top the group with 6 points while Chelsea FC follows at 3rd place with 3 points after beating Steaua Bucharest 0 – 4 away from London.

Group F has Arsenal leading with 6 points after a well deserved 2-0 win at home over Napoli- who are placed 2nd in the Group- with goals from Newcomer, Mesut Ozil and Frenchman Olivier Giroud. Borussia Dortmund is in 3rd place after a 3 – 0 win over Marseille who has 0 points from 2 matches.

Athletico Madrid leads Group G with 6 points from 2 matches. The Spanish team came from 1 down to finish 2-1 over FC Porto who were at home. Zenit St Petersburg and FK Austria Wien remain at the bottom of the group after a Goalless draw.

Spanish giants, FC Barcelona have continued their unbeaten run this season as they beat last place Celtic 1-0 away from Spain. AC Milan follows at number 2 after a 1-1 draw with Ajax.
