Troops Arrest 2 Key Boko Haram Members

Nigerian Army troops have arrested two fleeing key members of Boko Haram terrorist in Geidam, Yobe State.
This was disclosed by the Nigerian Army spokesman, Col. Sani Usman in a statement.
According to him, two pick up vehicles were also seized from the fleeing insurgents, adding that the terrorists are currently being interrogated.
He added that following reports about suspected movements and planned attack by Boko Haram terrorists around Damasak area, Nigerian Air Force has embarked on air surveillance and armed reconnaissance in the area.
On the alleged massacre and drowning of over a hundred civilians in Kukuwa-gari, Gujba Local Government Area of Yobe State, Usman said, it cannot be substantiated.
He, onbehalf of the Nigerian Army gave the assurance that the troops are fully committed to the fight against Boko Haram terrorists and ensuring security for law-abiding citizens in the troubled areas.
