Tribunal Judgment : A Travesty Of justice -Ogun PDP Chair
The state chairman of Peoples Democratic Party ( PDP ) , Ogun state , Engr Bayo Dayo , has described the judgment of the Election Petition Tribunal in respect of the Gubernatorial election as a travesty of justice.
The election petition tribunal which looked into the petition of Prince Gboyega Nasir Isiaka, ( GNI ) , the gubernatorial candidate of PDP in the April 11th , 2015 governorhip election against Senator Ibikunle Amosun of All Progressive Congress ( APC ) delivered its five hours judgment yesterday in Abeokuta, the Ogun state capital.
Reacting to the judgment, the state chirman said that verdict of the tribunal was not only a disappointment to all our teeming members and supporters but also shocking and sad. Stating that any discerning mind that witnessed the proceedings of the tribunal will find the judgment unbelievable.
Engr Bayo Dayo however expressed the readiness of the party in conjunction with Prince Gboyega Nasir Isiaka and other top notchers of the party to evaluate the judgment holistically with the view of taking further necessary step on the matter.
Meanwhile, the state chairman assured all the party members of the great need to further build and strengthen the party in the state so as to achieve the fundamental objectives of its founding fathers and that nobody would be left out in the onerous task.
” Please kindly enjoin our people to remain calm and unprovoked by any act or acts of the APC or the judgment. I see a ray of hope and an outlet for PDP in a short time ” he added.
