Trial of Chad’s ex-president Habre adjourned
A Senegalese court on Tuesday adjourned the trial of former Chadian dictator Hissene Habre on charges of crimes against humanity until September 7 to allow defence lawyers to prepare their case.
The trial, seen as a test case for African justice, had opened on Monday in a special court in Dakar, a quarter of a century after his blood-soaked reign came to an end.
