Tottenham May Move to Millton Keynes Stadium
Tottenham Hotspur boss, Mauricio Pochettino has said the club is likely to adopt the Millton Keynes stadium as a temporary home for the 2017/18 season.
The EPL club had announced earlier this week that their proposed new 56,000-seater ground at Northumberland Park might not be completed by 2017 so Spurs will have to find somewhere else to play their home games for a season.
Stadium Millton Keynes has now been mentioned as a possibility after Pochettino was impressed by the League 1 club on a visit to watch their recent Capital One Cup 4-1 victory over Manchester United.
“It was the first time I’ve watched a game there, and it is a very good stadium with very good facilities but nothing more, it’s just a possibility”, Mauricio Pochettino said.
“I think every single decision that is made by the club is to improve the club and to give it better facilities and make things better for supporters.
“I was in Milton Keynes to watch the game against Manchester United in the Capital One Cup. It was the first time I’ve watched a game there, and it is a very good stadium with very good facilities but nothing more, it’s just a possibility.
“We need to speak a lot about this decision, because we need to take all the information and different situations for the club, the supporters and the team. At the moment we don’t talk about this decision.”
