Tambuwal’s Security Detail Re-installed
The Speaker of Nigeria’s House of Representatives, Aminu Waziri Tambuwal, has been granted his security detail five months after it was withdrawn from him by the Department of State Services.
Tambuwal’s spokesman, Imam Imam, announced this on Wednesday, disclosing that the speaker had returned from a trip overseas to find his security personnel re-installed.
Tambuwal’s sucurity aides were seized by the DSS and the Inspector-General of Police, Suleiman Abba, in October after his defection to the All Progressives Congress, APC with the security agencies claiming that his defection meant he could no longer sit as the speaker.
