Tambuwal warns Press against Reporting Unofficial Election Results
The Speaker of the Nigerian House of Representatives , Alhaji Aminu Tambuwal has warned media organisations to desist from reporting unofficial results of the Elections held on Saturday.
Tambuwal appealed to newsmen to only report official results released by INEC so as to preserve the integrity of the elections.
He said: “We are confident that every single process (of the election) would be observed in peace and with calm.
“I belief that this election is special and very critical to every Nigerian. I am sure you are living witness to what has being happening. Its just by the grace of God that we are holding the election today because efforts were made to frustrate the process.”
He said that democracy had come to stay in Nigeria and all efforts should be made to defend the peace, unity and democracy of the country.
