Tambuwal Secures APC Presidential Nomination Form
The Speaker of the House of Representatives, Aminu Tambuwal, who recently defected from the Peoples Democratic Party to the All Progressives Congress has secured his notice of intent and nomination forms to run for the office of the President of Nigeria.
Tambuwal was formally thought to be intending to run for the governorship office in Sokoto state but his spokesperson, Imam Imam declared his real intentions on Thursday, saying:
“Earlier today, some friends and political associates of the Speaker notified him that they have bought the forms for him.”
According to Imam, some members of the APC members in the House of Representatives were at the party’s office in Abuja today to purchase the forms on Tambuwal’s behalf.
Tambuwal now joins former Head of State, Muhammadu Buhari, former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, Governor Rabiu Kwankwaso of Kano state, and newspaper publisher, Sam Nda-Isaiah, in the presidential race.
