Suspected Boko Haram spy arrested in MOPOL barracks
Plateau State Police Command detective officers have arrested a middle aged man, suspected to be a Boko Haram member.
The suspect according to information was caught on alleged spying on policemen at the Mobile Police Barracks, Sector 8 in Jos who were doing parade rehearsal in preparation for the pulling out of the state police commissioner, Mr Chris Olakpe.
Kaduna State Police spokeperson, Felicia Anselm, while confirming the report explained that it was the presence of the suspect near the parade ground that raised suspicion . He tried to abscond when the security operatives attempted to interrogate him.
According to the PPRO, the suspect later told his interrogators that, he came from Gonori in Gulba Local government area of Yobe State, which is believed to be one of the strong base of the Boko Haram sect and that he is a Kanuri man.
The suspects is said to have been transferred to Anguljos police station for questioning.
