Former U-23 star, Nnamdi Oduamadi will probably be in the starting 11 for the Super Eagles’ Saturday match against the Walya Antelopes of Ethiopia, despite earlier injury concerns.
The 23-year-old Midfielder, who was traded on loan to Brescia Calcio by AC Milan was reported to have been excused from Wednesday afternoon’s training by the technical crew. He was pictured sitting and watching his teammates training ahead of the crucial second leg match.
Eagles media officer, Ben Alaiya, however said the player is fit,“We had a closed training and he (Oduamadi) trained; he was running everywhere. So, there is no cause for alarm.”
Oduamadi has been quite impressive in the senior team as he scored three goals against Tahiti in the Eagles’ opening match in the Confederations Cup Tournament in June. He has also scored one goal in 10 games for Brescia in the Coppa Italia.
