Super Eagles lose 1-0 to Jordan in Friendly Match
Home-based Super Eagles squad were on Monday defeated 1-0 by the Al-Nashama of Jordan in an international friendly match at the Amman International Stadium.
It was the first time Jodan and Nigeria would be meeting at any level and the game saw the Super Eagles dominate the game, as expected.
The goal was conceded by the Nigerian side when a penalty kick awarded towards the end of the first half was buried in the net by Jordan’s Captain, Hartem Aqel.
Some of the home based stars who played on Monday include Enugu Rangers’ Chigozie Agbim,who Captained the Eagles on Monday; Solomon Kwambe and Ebenezer Odunlami of Sunshine Stars F.C; Heartland’s Benjamin Francis; Warri Wolves’ Sunday Mba; Kano Pillars’ Rabiu Ali,among others.
The Nigerian side will be meeting several other national teams in friendlies in preparation for the Africa Nations Championships in South Africa while the Al-Nashama are preparing for their 2014 FIFA World Cup play-off fixture against Uruguay.
