Super Eagles Bonus: President Jonathan rescue Nigeria Football Federation
By Abiodun Elegbede in Brazil
Nigeria Super Eagles who have boycotted training since yesterday because of non payment of their appearance fee by Nigeria Football Federation are back to resume training.
NigerianEcho learnt through our source in the camp that President Goodluck Jonathan had to put a direct call to the players camp in Campinas, assuring them that their appearance fees and other bonuses would be paid immediately.
He was said to have assured them the support of Nigeria government and the nation in general and challenge them to beat France on Monday and move to the quater-final.
The team is scheduled to leave Campinas immediately after their lunch for Brasilia, the capital city of Brazil to honour their round of 16 match against France.
One of the top players in the squad was happy with the intervention of President Jonathan, “at least the President cannot deceive us” he said.
