Steve Bruce says Hull Tigers have no intention of selling Aluko in the New Year

Hull City boss Steve Bruce has revealed he has no intention of letting go of Nigeria’s Omatsone Aluko during the January transfer window despite the player’s refusal to renew his contract, one which club considers to be a ‘fabulous offer’.

Though contract extension talks are still going on The 24-year-old forward will probably be out of action until February as he his battling with an Achilles’ injury.

While disputing rumours that the Tigers will have to sell off the former Rangers player in the New Year in order to avoid losing him on a free next summer, Bruce said,“I’m still hopeful that we can do something (with the contract). The most disappointing thing is getting injured. He could do without that when he’s talking about a new contract.

“We’ll still talk to him and we’re still optimistic. I’ve got no intention of letting him go anywhere in January.”
