In what appears to be an attempt to nip in the bud, the systemic corruption in the Government of Senator Ibikunle Amosun of Ogun State, the Nigerian Police have questioned some of the aides of the Governor over an alleged N100M naira fraud. One of the top aides of Governor Amosun, Olufemi Allen, Senior Special Assistant on Taxation and some directors at the Internal Revenue Service(IRS) have been fingered in the fraud. The affected persons have made useful statements at the Police headquarters Eleweran, Abeokuta.

Allen, who has since been replaced with a woman (name withheld), Nigerianecho learnt is the head of the cartel milking the

Even though efforts were made to cover up, the junior staff of the agency did everything to expose the scam. Just two months ago, the same office was burgled and over N200M cash and other valuables were carted away. No arrest has been made on that incident matter.

Governor Amosun, instead of relieving Allen of his post deployed him to another agency. NigerianEcho learnt  that Allen and some of the top staff of IRS were also caught on tape demanding money from companies to under value the tax payable by them to the covers of the State government.
