Sports Minister Reinstates Maigari as NFF President
The embattled President of the Nigeria Football Federation, NFF, Aminu Maigari, has been reinstated by the Minister of Sports, Tamuna Danagogo, at a press briefing in Abuja on Saturday.
Just a day after World football governing body, FIFA, ordered Maigari’s reinstatement, Danagogo declared him as the authentic President of the NFF and asked to resume work on Monday.
Maigari had been impeached by the NFF Executive board and replaced by his vice. FIFA, however, in a statement ordered his return and that he presides over the forthcoming NFF congress.
