Sir Adebutu-Keshington Football Competition: Yewa South Team For Final

Yewa South Local Government under-18 team has qualified for the final of Sir Adebutu Keshington under-18 Annual Football Competition.
The team qualified from Yewa zone with centre at Ilaro unscathed beating Imeko-Afon Local Government 2-0; Drew Yewa North 0-0 and eventually thrashed Ado-Odo/Ota Local Government 4-0 to qualify for quarter finals.

At the quarter finals played at MKO Abiola Stadium Abeokuta, the Yewa South under-18 walloped Abeokuta North 3-0 to qualify for Semi-final.

The epic Semi-final match played at Abeokuta saw Yewa South Under-18 team flogged Imeko-Afon Under-18 team with 4 goals to one.

According to our reporter, the Imeko-Afon team scored first and this wakes Yewa South team from their slumber. 

The team displayed some scintillating football and scored four goals after. 

The match watched by mammoth crowd at the MKO Abiola Stadium has tipped Yewa South Under 18 team against Ikenne LG team to win the cup coming up at the International Stadium, Sagamu on Sunday 18th October, 2015. Kick off 2pm.

Kola Popoola, Chairman Yewa South Sports Council in an a chat with NigerianEcho called on people of the local government to support the team by making themselves available on Sunday when Yewa South will meet Ikenne at the final.

He said:‎ “Yewa South Under 18 team that qualified to play final of Sir Adebutu Kessington, invites you to Gateway International Stadium, Sagamu on Sunday, Kick off 2pm.

“Busses would be available for the first 40 people to get to Gateway International Stadium, Ilaro. Bus takes off 10:00am on Sunday.

“All supporters should turn out enmasse to support our team against Ikenne Local Government”.
