Former Super Eagles coach, Shuaibu Amodu has advised present coach, Stephen Keshi, to resign from his position and forget about a new deal with the Nigeria Football Federation.

Amodu, who was recently appointed as the Technical Director of the Super Eagles, said Keshi would be better off resigning with his reputation intact after Nigeria failed to qualify for the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations after a draw at home with South Africa.

He said: “Stephen Keshi alone will decide if he has a reputation or he does not have a reputation. If he has a reputation he will walk out of the job, if he does not have, he should stay like a beggar.

“To keep Keshi is bad precedence because when Samson Siasia failed, we came on air to tell the whole country that he had failed [and] that he should go.

“President Goodluck Jonathan could not save him, so if we want to live on those standards, what is good for the goose is good for the gander. But you must know that this is my personal opinion.”
